Pre & Post Tan Instructions

Pre and post-skin prep are vital steps in achieving flawless spray tanning results. Before your spray tan session, thorough prepping ensures an even, long-lasting tan by removing dead skin cells and creating a smooth canvas for the solution to adhere to. Post-skin prep is equally important as it helps extend the life of your tan by moisturizing and hydrating the skin, preventing patchiness and ensuring a radiant glow that lasts. With proper pre and post-skin prep, you can enjoy beautiful tan that lasts!

1. Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate your skin using a mild scrub or exfoliating mitt. This helps remove dead skin cells and creates a smooth surface for the spray tan solution to adhere to.
2. Shave or Wax: If needed, shave or wax at least 24 hours before your spray tan appointment. This allows any potential skin irritation to settle before the application.
3. Avoid Moisturizers: Refrain from applying any moisturizers, oils, or lotions on the day of your spray tan. These can create a barrier and prevent the solution from properly bonding with the skin.
4. Remove Makeup and Deodorant: Before your session, remove all makeup, deodorant, and perfume. These products can interfere with the tanning solution and result in uneven or discolored areas.
5. Wear Loose-Fitting Clothing: Choose loose-fitting and dark-colored clothing to wear during and after the spray tan. Tight clothing can rub against the solution and cause streaks or unevenness.
6. Skip Jewelry: Avoid wearing any jewelry or accessories, especially around the neck, wrists, or ankles, as they can leave unwanted tan lines.
7. Tie Up Hair: If you have long hair, tie it up or use a hairnet to keep it away from your face and neck during the spray tan application.
8. Prepare Your Skin: Ensure your skin is clean and free of any products, including perfumes, oils, or makeup. It's best to tan with fresh, bare skin.

1. For the first 8-12 hours after your spray tan, avoid water activities and activities that cause excessive sweating, as they can interfere with the development of the tan.
2. Wait at least 8-12 hours before taking your first shower after the spray tan. This allows the tan to fully develop and set on your skin.
3. When showering for the first time after your spray tan, avoid using soap, exfoliating or harsh products that can strip away the tan. After your first shower continue to use a mild soap.
4. After showering, pat your skin dry with a towel instead of rubbing, as rubbing can potentially remove the tan in certain areas.
5. Hydrate your skin by applying a moisturizer daily, preferably one specifically formulated for spray tans. This helps extend the life of your tan and prevents it from becoming patchy or uneven.
6. Avoid using products that contain alcohol, exfoliants, or harsh chemicals, as they can accelerate the fading process.
7. Avoid using exfoliating scrubs, loofahs, or harsh body brushes, as they can strip away the tan. Additionally, chlorinated pools and hot tubs can cause the tan to fade more quickly, so try to avoid them if possible.
8. When shaving or waxing, do so gently and with care. Shaving too vigorously or using harsh waxing methods can remove the tan along with the hair.
9. When your tan does start to fade, it is recommended that you clean skin with a loofah to help slough off dead skin, and your current tan to prep for y9our next appointment.
10. As your tan naturally fades, schedule your next session to maintain your golden glow.
